Here's to YiaYia!
Yorg’s Grandparents were a big part of Bump. YiaYia’s house was where we practiced, hung out, and got our start. She came to shows, she supported, and she was there for us.
Today she passed away and we thought we would share with all of you a portion of the documentary that Fulvew Productions did on us a couple of years ago. The footage shows the close relationship between the band and YiaYia and her big part in helping to write the history of Bump.
Here is to YiaYia, she will be missed and always remembered!
Eight years of incessant touring with 600 plus shows across 35 states, it is with great excitement and anticipation Bump presents “Forward.” Their third album marks an exciting and thrilling new direction in the bands’ sound; nine songs of progressive tones, three part harmonies and attractive and intricate layering create an approachable form of indie pop rock. Held up in the Bunker in Royal Oak, MI with producer/engineer Dan Currie, the band set out to create an album that would be distinctly different than albums past. The goal was simple; write interesting and musically inclined songs that translated to both the CD and the live performance. Having already completed a nine-week, 20 state tour in support of “Forward,” the album has already drawn striking reviews.
